Good Day Stars!
Happy Wellness Wednesday!
The goal of today’s post is to get feedback from YOU, my WordPress family. I have drafted some really informative and fun posts for you all but I want to hear from you.
Are there any specific topics or subjects relating to fitness and/or wellness that you would like to learn more about?
If you could ask a personal trainer or wellness coach any question, what would it be?
All feedback is welcome, please leave a comment below.
Thanks! #Keep Glowing

I have osteoarthritis in my back and neck and a small hernia in my upper stomach area that acts up if I strain too much, but I want to loose weight around my middle. At 42 it is very hard to loose it off tea and diet alone but I am in pain when I work out anything with my middle area (sit ups, push ups, jumping jacks, etc.). What other suggestions would you have that will work for my mid section without injuring myself?

You do have to be very careful about exercises that put stress on your hernia. I’ve known people to have surgery to have them removed but other than that, it’s just about adapting. Unfortunately, there is no such thing as spot training or reducing fat in specific areas of the body only. Our bodies lose weight everywhere and can be based on your genetics/body type. Do eat well and exercise regularly, based on what is best for you. Whether that is walking 40min every morning (preferably indoors as opposed to concrete) or taking aqua aerobics at a local gym – these options are not rough on the joints. Be sure your meals are not high in simple carbs like bread.

Oh I like the aquatic aerobics suggestion. I’ll have to look around my area for a class. I usually walk every other day but it’s 20 degrees freezing weather now in the winter here so I don’t go out in it. Winter is harsh here. I might have to look into an indoor treadmill or something? Thank you!!

You’re very welcome. Low impact exercises would be perfect for you. Winter is harsh here too {sigh} 🙂

Yes, any tips on how to get rid of a tummy after having a baby? Thanks😊
LikeLiked by 1 person
Belly fat after having a baby can be very very stubborn. This takes a combo of good nutrition and exercise. Personally, I would recommend “waist training” initially and then a consistent workout schedule. I will post more nutrition topic soon, because I know that part is not easy to navigate.

😂 I hate exercise! But I’ll do it. 😊

It’s just a matter of finding a physical activity that you dislike the least… maybe it is skating, Zumba, walking, or even workout videos. If you hate it, that makes it so tough to stay consistent.

I think I’ll do that. Zumba sound like fun. Thanks😄

Hey my friend! If possible, I would like to know more about which types of foods are best for weight loss and weight maintenance. Thus – if I want to lose weight, should I be consuming carbs? If so, what kinds? How much protein can/should I have?
Thank you and have a happy holiday!
LikeLiked by 1 person
Hey!! Good questions. I will make sure to go over these in upcoming posts but generally you don’t have to cut out all carbs to lose weight, some people do but the weight lose is usually temporary. It’s about balancing all of your macronutrients: carbs, fat and protein – balance based on your goals and body type. I could go on but I will get some posts out on the topic. Happy Holidays friend!

Is there streches I can do that helps recover from a concussion?
LikeLiked by 1 person
When recovering from a concussion it is important to rest and take it easy. Stretches or exercises wouldn’t be proper “treatment” for recovery from a concussion.

I am financially limited to the gym and really need to lose weight around my stomach which now sticks out further than my boobs – very bad lol
Please give simple tummy exercises I can do at home? What should I eat? Fibre is bad for my IBS.

There are many exercises that don’t require a gym. I will get more posts out soon to help with this. Losing weight around your stomach with be mostly about what you eat and doing cardio as well.

I am a chubby dude but I intend to get a lot more bigger but the food I eat doesn’t help. Is getting bigger a death wish because of the supposed idea that fat is dangerous?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Excess fat is dangerous because it puts extra stress on your heart and organs and increases your risks for chronic diseases.

I don’t go to the gym but I walk 2 miles a day to work and swim a couple of times a week, but knowing some at home style exercises I could do with weights or something to tone up would be really useful 🙂

Ok, I will make posts about this soon. You will need resistance exercises using your body weight and/or small hand weights.

It also depends on how active you are in your daily life. Do you sit a lot or are you somewhat active?

What are your thoughts on CrossFit? My friend used to do it, and I wasn’t sure it was something that would be good for everyone.

Cross fit is an excellent way to stay in shape, but may not be for everyone. Depending on excess weight and past injuries, many of the exercises may need to be modified to avoid injury. That workout is a good and tough one! 💪🏾

I’m a very busy person, but I would like to tone up in my arms, & abs without the hard muscles. What workouts should I do?
LikeLiked by 1 person
I will write a post on this soon, but mainly you will want to get a pair of 5lb hand weights to use for arm exercises. As for the abs, it is a combo of nutrition (careful to avoid excess simple carbs), isolated an exercises and full body workouts. I will post some full workout sheets that you can print out soon so stay tuned 😉

mmm do you perhaps know how to gain weight? I’ve been trying to eat a lot but I barely reach the calories needed per day xD it’s so hard to gain weight, once I’m full with eating I litterely can’t eat any more. but in the next hour I’m hungry again, I do know I have an absurd fast metabolism it’s hard for me to gain weight and muscles. I mean not that I’m not happy with my body! I actually am! but a few kilo’s extra wouldn’t hurt so I dont have to shop in the kids outlet haha xD

Gaining weight is an attainable goal. You want to make sure you do eat when you are hungry and even add supplements if you are comfortable with that (meal shakes or protein bars/shakes). I will make a post about this with more details in the future. I sure wish I had your metabolism!

I always eat when I’m hungry xD when I’m full as in FULL then in 2 hours I’m hungry again if I don’t eat for let’s say 5-6 hours I’ll notice this immediately in my attitude haha xD (gimme pizzaaa) I tried different kinds off bars/shakes etc. for a while but my stomach can’t handle this much food it makes me feel like I wanna lay down and sleep lol. I tried a few shakes before, it said on the box to take at least 3 of those shakes a day + the normal things you would eat during a day xD but I could only do like 1,5 a day (morning and lunch) and I was stuffed as hell for the rest of the day like full, not hungry, not even in the mood to eat my normal food lol. so I stopped with that after 4 months or so, I couldn’t get used to it. I think I just have small stomach haha.

It also sounds like you keep pretty busy as well. Just be sure to listen to your body and it sounds like you have a healthy relationship with food. These are all good things!

Thank you firstly for your offer. In relation to weight loss is is best to walk then jog a little or is walking just as good for weight loss?

Walking is just as good, but it also depends on your fitness level. I personally do not jog, but walking or speed walking is something I do recommend often for weight loss. Hope this is helpful for You 🙂 #KeepGlowing

This was an amazing question. I would love to know what exercises you think is fundamental on a regular basis? Also, what are the healthiest nutritional food to eat during breakfast? 🙂
LikeLike
Those are both good questions! I think walking, stretching and finding resistance exercises that work for your body are essentials. I will post on this soon to give you more details. There is no one “perfect” breakfast. They key is to make sure it includes complex carbs, protein and a healthy fat source. This could be oatmeal and eggs, a greek yogurt parfait or even a smoothie. Be on the look out for a post about breakfast as well 🙂
